Dear everyone,
The world is a hot mess, no? It’s so easy to be disheartened but really, that’s how the shit heels win and we do not want that for them (or us). When I’m talking to people about this, we’re using talking not about how crappy it all is but rather, how we’re making it better. The most common theme: every day (or everyday) magic.

Of course you’re wondering what everyday/every day magic is. Or maybe you already know?
I mean the first explanation is the obvious one: just magic that you do every day. For me, tarot is one of the most obvious and consistent examples. You might be wondering about my tarot practice well… more on that later but it’s essential to me.
Another example of every day and everyday magic is making tea.

So for me, tea connects me with my Granny. It’s comforting and anchors me to my roots, her gentle guidance, and steadiness. There’s a bit of conflict for me because I’m also aware of the colonial history (and try to buy fair trade).
There’s something about putting the kettle on and all of the ritual that goes with it. It’s not an explicit spell or something, but every time I make it, it also is.
There are other examples for me: crafting, cooking, and gardening all come to mind.

Those are all things that are just things I do and I don’t necessarily think about them as magic but they all are for me.
What are the everyday magic examples in your life?
